 Южноамериканская металл-сцена до определенного момента оставалась безвестной на фоне музыкантов северного полушария. Немногим группам этой части света удалось добиться всемирной известности. На ум приходят лишь легендарные Sepultura, пауэрщики Angra да ветераны дэт-металла Krisiun. Последние уже 20 лет радуют нас качественным и мощным дэт-металлом. Представленная в 2003 году работа коллектива под названием "Work of Carnage" – пятый полнометражный альбом группы.
Встречаем, как говорится, по одёжке — великолепнейшая обложка не оставляет сомнений в том, что ждёт нас на диске. А ждёт нас там концентрированная доза брутальности, выливаемая мелким черпаком за несколько раз. Основное содержимое альбома — скоростной, плотный и брутальный дэт-металл в том виде, в каком мы любим его. Почти всё время звучат пулеметные трели бочек, бас-гитара создает должное давление на уши слушателя, а гитара выдает скоростные переборы на высоких и низких нотах, создавая жутковатую атмосферу. Вокалист отличным гроулингом выплёвывает слова, повествуя о не самых аппетитных вещах. Как и должно быть.
В целом, альбом звучит великолепно — каждый инструмент на месте, несмотря на свинцовую плотность и тяжесть, партии не перекрывают друг друга, а звучат как единое целое, которое, как известно, больше, чем простая сумма его составляющих. Работа барабанщика довольно технична в рамках жанра, гитарист же старается вовсю разнообразить размеренное скоростное рубилово переборами, соло-партиями и тэппингом, такими же скоростными и напряженными.
И если с подачей материала все нормально, то вот сам материал слабоват. Общий хронометраж в полчаса пронесется ураганом быстрее, чем хотелось бы, при том, что песни кажутся затянутыми, как бы странно это ни звучало с учётом их быстрого темпа. Кроме того, свою долю хронометража отъедают почти нойзовые интро, аутро и два инструментала, состоящие из того же нойза и жутковатых запилов на гитаре. А вот кавер на Venom шикарен. В остатке — отличный материал от профессиональных музыкантов, но на полноценный альбом не потянет. (Диск предоставлен компанией Mazzar Records) |
