 Когда группа меняет свое звучание по любым причинам, это можно рассматривать как эксперимент. Но кардинальное изменение стиля может быть только изменением стиля, и никак иначе. И если предшествующий альбом группы, "Telesterion", еще можно было считать экспериментом, либо новым этапом в творчестве группы, то новый альбом, "Siege", является чем-то совершенно другим.
Что же такого произошло на этот раз? Группа предоставила нам новый альбом, в котором от группы осталось только название Mechina. В остальном, это прекрасно сыгранный Industrial Gothic Metal с красивым женским вокалом Мелиссы Розенберг (Mel Rose). И лишь в одной песне, "Siege", голос Мелиссы разбавлен экстрим-вокалом другой женщины (Anna Hel (Conflict)). Снова амбиентное интро, снова красивые симфо-треки с вкраплениями Industrial, из которых можно выделить "The Worst In Us", "Purity Storm", "Siege". Финальный трек очень длинный, но впечатления занудности он не производит. Тоскливой заунывности, главного минуса прошлого альбома, тоже нет - она исчезла вместе с синтезатором, который теперь не выпирает на передний план. Кашеобразный звук остался, но по крайней мере, кошмара прошлого альбома здесь нет.
Что можно сказать в заключение? Отличный альбом новой группы, в которую переродилась группа Mechina. Фанатам группы это можно слушать только в порядке ознакомления, ибо, как я уже говорил, от группы осталось одно только название. Мощь исчезла бесследно, вместе с вокалом Дэвида. Как новой Gothic Metal группе, я бы поставил 6 баллов; как группе Mechina, от которой осталось только название - 1 балл. Итоговый результат - 3 балла. |
