Магистры интеллектуальной музыкальной игры со слушателями возвращаются после разумного перерыва в 5 лет (EP в счет не берем) и наносят очередной сокрушительный удар по обыденности. Идя в ногу со временем, Solefald затрагивают глобализационные, интеграционные вопросы и создают метаязыковой альбом, который не только звучит, но и сам исследует механизмы сосуществования культур и эстетик, не забывая при этом быть высокоразвлекательным. Коллектив как всегда отличает универсализм во всем – в инструментах, вокалах – и это, помноженное на жанровую толерантность, позволяет им создать альбом-энциклопедию, или еще один путеводитель по возможностям авангардного метала. Банально, но стиль этого альбома так и тянет определить не иначе как solefald metal. Эту патетическую вязь голосов, мощный саунд эклектичных моментов, торжественную, окрыляющую атмосферу эксперимента не спутаешь больше со стилем никакой из групп. Норвежцы ваяют незаезженные риффы, остроумно пронизывают металическую канву электроникой, композиционно находчивы. «World Metal. Kosmopolis Sud» содержит массу ненавязчивых, но значимых элементов, которые в неповторимом синтезе и при чувстве меры и гарантируют успех альбома.
В “World Music with Black Edges” это прежде всего эйфорический транс-мотивичк и буйство перкуссии, в “The Germanic Entity” древнейший африканский инструмент калимба и современная, до тошноты экспериментальная электроника, в “Bububu Bad Beuys” племенная африканская перкуссия и (псевдо)этнические вокальные аллитерации под вдохновленный атмосферик-блэковый пассаж. Главный аромат свежего альбома – африканское инструментальное присутствие, для чего музыканты честно скатались в Танзанию. Под этими знаменами «мирового» охвата пролетает на одном дыхании первая триада трэков. Далее, исключительно захватывающе наблюдать, как с каждой песней, начиная с “Future Universal Histories”, краски сгущаются, появляются все более параноидальные мотивы, угрюмая декламация в духе Lifelover. А былой блэковый идеализм порушен вконец прогнившим постмодернизмом. В одном тексте Solefald увязывают историю, политику, культуру, субкультуру, ставят ссылки на вехи своего творчества, говорят о его эволюции и троллят блэк-метал – что они только не делают в отдельно взятой песне! И при этом лично я не считаю, что где-то они заигрываются, а гротеск криминален. Если позволителен он анархистскому упырю Фамину, то этим двум джентльменам обоснованные интеллектуально, а не одними эмоциями и патриотической удалью, шалости позволены и подавно. Конечно, Solefald тоже крепко держатся корней, не может не быть у этих музыкантов не только английского, французского, но и национального языка (приличные порции норвежского заканчивают каждую песню). Об отчизне скандинавы не забывают и в общем и в частности: в «Мировом метале» найдем и песню про печально известные события в Норвегии последних лет (“String the Bow of Sorrow”) и некое столичное вневременье (“Oslo Melancholy”)… Последней медитативной вещью дуэт парадоксально возвращается к концепту нордической меланхолии, словно и не было 45 минут современности, иронии, хаоса…
Не вопрос, как надергать из разных стилей выигрышные для общего целого фрагменты, не вопрос, какую кучу инструментов задействовать в новой вакханалии креатива, вопрос как сделать альбом цельным, гармоничным при всех крайностях и увлекательным. Solefald легко находят решение уже 20 лет, а два их последних альбома я бы назвал лучшими в их дискографии. |
