 Совсем юные шведские музыканты, совсем юная группа - и уже такой серьезный альбом! Стопроцентно профессиональный, хитовый, и не по-подростковому злой. Нет, чувствуется тяга Zonaria к исполнению, в первую очередь, мелодичной музыки, но с другой - это абсолютно некоммерческий и самодостаточный материал, несмотря на кажущуюся заезженность его компонентов. Из относительно похожих групп припоминаются поздние The Duskfall, блэк-дэтстеры Satariel, да кое-что из Scar Symmetry, а в местах, где в саунде доминируют тяжелые качевые риффы - Marionette. "The Last Endeavour", "Everything Is Wasteland", "Evolution Overdose", "The Armageddon Anthem" - вот великолепные песни, достойные стать яркими украшениями в воображаемом ожерелье экстремальной музыки, и если бы все песни были на их уровне - цены бы альбому не было. К сожалению, на "Infamy and the Breed" еще далеко не все так радостно, как на его преемнике, "The Сancer Empire". Непродуманные вторжения в саунд элементов симфо-блэка, неоправданно перегруженный саунд, провалившийся местами при сведении вокал. Много хороших наработок, зачатков идей, но вот их полноценная реализация наступила только через два года.
Кстати, учитывая место рождения группы и тот факт, что исполняет она, хоть и с оговорками, мелодик-дэт, неудивительно, что и здесь без вездесущего Кристиана Альвестама на бэк-вокале дело не обошлось. |
