 Преодолев испытание в виде возможного распада группы, Artension с новой силой взялась за работу, выпустив альбом “Sacred Pathways”, очень удачный и сильный, кстати. И вот уже вышел следующий альбом, шестой по счёту. Что тут у нас? Ну, во-первых, состав остался без изменений, все парни на своих местах, и отжигают как всегда, то есть драйвово и технично. Во-вторых, звук преобразился, став ещё громче и ярче, а основное достоинство саунда на “New Discovery”, на мой взгляд, - это вокал Джона Уэста. Его вывели на передний план, чему я несказанно рад, потому что являюсь почитателем таланта этого человека. И, в-третьих, уже по традиции, парни сыграли кучу хитов. В особенности, зацепили такие вещи, как очень мелодичные боевики “Remember My Name” и “Innocence Lost”, динамичный номер “The Last Survivor”, добрая инструменталка “Symphonic Expedition” и финальная тема “Story Teller”. Как видите, композиторский уровень Виталия Куприя возрастает с каждым альбомом. Тексты Джона Уэста хорошо написаны, доступным языком, и лучший способ оценить по достоинству эти тексты – это читать их, параллельно слушая песни. Да и по своей тематике они довольно разнообразны. Вот, в принципе, и всё, что нужно знать. Лично для меня это один из самых мощных альбомов в творчестве Artension, но всё же самый хитовый и мой самый любимый их альбом – это следующий за рецензируемым альбомом “Future World”, выпущенный в 2004 году. Но о нём речь пойдёт в соответствующей рецензии. Ну а “New Discovery”, я считаю, заслужил вполне честную девятку. Приятного прослушивания! |
